Livonia Firefighters Local 1164 Scholarship

Deadline: March 15, 2019

  • Two $1000 scholarships
  • Available to any Livonia resident who is a graduating high school senior from any high school
  • Requirements include:
    • Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5
    • Two letters of recommendation (one teacher/counselor, one personal reference)
    • 500-word essay describing how they have made a difference in their school or community.
  • Students may attend any college, university, or trade school and choose any course of study

Schoolcraft College Scholarships

Deadline: March 16, 2019

Trustee Scholarship ($2,000) Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • Fall admission to Schoolcraft College
  • 3.0 minimum GPA
  • SAT total score of 940 of higher or ACT composite score 18 or higher

Award of Excellence ($2,500) Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • Fall admission to Schoolcraft College
  • 3.5 minimum GPA
  • SAT total score of 1130 of higher or ACT composite score 23 or higher

National Association of Black Suppliers

Deadline: March 17, 2019

This organization provides scholarships to graduating African-American seniors who have outstanding academic and community leadership and who plan to enroll full-time in engineering, technology, business, health-care, or a related curriculum.

Scholarships are $5,000 per year for up to five years and can be used for tuition, room, board, and fees at a 4-year college or university of the awardee’s choice.

Requirements

Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a United States citizen.

The application is available online at the National Association of Black Suppliers' Scholarship page. The awards will be presented at a scholarship luncheon the Dearborn Inn in Dearborn.
