Drivers can expect reduced lanes and slow travel at the intersection at Seven Mile and Newburgh Roads to allow for road improvements by Wayne County. The construction project also includes work along Seven Mile Road, west of Newburgh Road.
Motorists are encouraged to use Six Mile Road or Eight Mile Road to access I-275 during the construction project to avoid delays. Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.
The Wayne County Department of Public Service is administering the $589,000 for the half-mile of hot mix asphalt cold milling and resurfacing, concrete repairs, sidewalk ramps, signing and pavement markings. Pro-Line Asphalt Paving Corporation is the contractor.
