Livonia Home Show Saturday

The popular Livonia Home Show is coming up 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at the Kirksey Recreation Center inline skating rink.

Coordinated by the Livonia Chamber of Commerce, the event is moving outdoors to help provide an even safer environment for you to meet with local contractors and businesses and discuss projects ranging from remodels to landscaping or window replacement.

You can both check out a list of confirmed vendors for this FREE event and register here.

Synchro Try It Day May 2

Is your 6-15 year old a good swimmer? Do they like choreography? Why not put the two together? If synchronized swimming is something they may find fun, come try it at our aptly-named Synchro Try It Day May 2 at the Kirksey Recreation Center’s lap pool.

Ages 6-11 are invited to come out from noon-12:30 p.m. and ages 12-15 for 12:30-1 p.m. to test it out for free and see if it’d be something they’d be interested in for our May 9 session. Register here for both the free Synchro Try It Day and for next session’s classes.

Feedback Sought for Parks and Recreation ADA Transition Plan

Livonia Parks and Recreation and WT Group Accessibility Practice are hosting two Zoom meetings Thursday, May 6, to hear feedback about parks and facilities accessibility as part of an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan.

Join us virtually at either 2 p.m. or 7 p.m. to review key ADA requirements for parks and facilities, discuss the importance of community feedback in establishing retrofit priorities, share observations of access barriers viewed at park sites, discuss the access preferences and priorities of the members of the public in attendance, and discuss next steps for the City.

Each meeting has a 100-person limit, so register for the 2 p.m. session or register for the 7 p.m. session based on what fits your schedule best.
