Civil War Tea

The Livonia Historic Preservation Commission requests the favor of your presence at the Alexander Blue House on Saturday, Sept. 25, from 3-5 p.m. Guests will enjoy tea, sandwiches, and desserts inspired by the Victorian era. Guest speaker Judith Coebly will present "Behind Enemy Lines: Women spies during the Civil War." Proceeds from this event will support preservation and restoration efforts at the historic cemeteries in Livonia. Registration is $30 per person. 

'The Truth is Powerful, It Prevails:' Abolitionism in Livonia Township in the 19th Century

Join Rochelle E. Danquah, an Underground Railroad scholar, as she presents a discussion on the history of the antislavery and abolitionist movements in Livonia Township in the 19th century at the Newburg Church on Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday Tour

Join us for a tour of the village buildings on Sunday, Oct. 3, from 1-4 p.m. Stop in the Hinbern Gift Shop to make a donation for your admission sticker. Docents will be in each building to give you a tour and answer any questions.
