Livonia Parks and Recreation Unveils New Logo, Branding

Livonia Parks and Recreation’s new logo was unveiled by Mayor Maureen Miller Brosnan at last week's State of the City event at Laurel Manor. Different aspects of the logo – from the lines to the primary colors – tie together a foundation of history, multi-generational, sports/recreation, community/people and nature/outdoors, all of which are vital pieces of Livonia Parks and Recreation.

You'll notice a few different variations of the logo both regarding alignment and also a single-color version as seen in the flyer at the end of the email. Alongside that, you'll notice similar fonts and color schemes appearing in some of our signage and marketing.

Help Us Hire More Than 50 Lifeguards in Two Months!

We're nearly halfway to the 100 lifeguards we need to open without schedule limitations this summer. A lack of lifeguards could lead to capacity limits and potential changes to both hours of operation (including the possibility of pool closures) and what type of amenities are available at pools with slides and water features. If you or someone you know would like to be a lifeguard, now is the time to apply!

We’re currently hiring for our summer lifeguard needs at all of our indoor and outdoor pools! If you’re interested, now is the time to get certified with multi-day Red Cross lifeguard certification courses coming up May 14 and June 11. Course registration is just $50! For those not working for Livonia Parks and Recreation, cost is $175. We’ve also got free lifeguard training dates where potential lifeguards (ages 15+) can practice the swim test. Contact Stephanie at smanoogian@livonia.gov for more information or click to register for any of the courses.

#VoteGreenmead daily through Friday and help us move on to the next round. We’re the only Michigan location to advance into the 32-team bracket and we’re up against Pullen Park Amusements in Raleigh, North Carolina. Vote for both remaining match-ups, but make sure we advance in match-up #2!
