Easter Egg Hunt Returns to Rotary

Have your little one hunting the outfield for eggs at our Egg Hunt 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Rotary Park. Groups will be split up by age into 15-minute time blocks:

Ages 1-4 at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Ages 5-7 at noon
Ages 8-10 at 12:30 p.m.

Participants are required to bring their own basket or bag. The Easter Bunny will be on-site for photo opportunities under Pavilion 5. Register now before it's full.

The event is co-sponsored by Livonia Parks and Recreation and the Livonia Rotary Club.

Community Garden Opens Registration to New Gardeners

New gardener registration opened this morning for the Community Garden at Greenmead Historical Park. Visit Livonia.gov/1779 for details or to reserve a spot. Limited space remains, as returning gardeners began registering in January.

Jazz Stylings of Alexander Zonjic Returns to Livonia

Alexander Zonjic returns to Livonia 8-9:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, at the Italian American Banquet Center (39200 Five Mile Road) for "A Little Night of Music." Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for this jazz performance you won't want to miss. Concert tickets cost $45 and a cash bar will be available.

Greenmead Advances to Championship for Knope Award

Greenmead Historical Park has advanced to the championship out of 60 different parks vying for the Knope Award recognizing the Best Historical and Cultural Places in Local Government through Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL).

#VoteGreenmead daily through Friday and help us win it all! We’re the only Michigan location to advance into the 32-team playoff bracket where parks advanced based on Internet votes. We’re up against Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado, in the championship, so make sure to cast your vote daily through April 8!
