Vintage Fashion Weekend at Greenmead Historical Park

If you're into vintage fashion, look no further than Greenmead Historical Park.

The annual Previously Used Jewelry Sale has a wide variety of rings, bracelets, necklaces and more for you to add to your collection! Come shop our large selection from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Greenmead's Alexander Blue House.

Head over to Greenmead's Friends Meeting House 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 30, for a fun morning of fascinator headband making for the Kentucky Derby. Geared for ages 12 and older, this headband-making class will include all needed materials. Advanced registration required.

Then swing by the Simmons-Hill House on the west side of Greenmead from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, April 30, May 7 and 14, for Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue. The exhibit will look at wedding attire from the past 100 years; along with stories and photos from the day. This exhibit will also feature Mrs. Hill's gown, which has been recently restored and is on display for the first time. Register online in advance for a discount, or pay $10 cash/check at the door.

Adult Sand Volleyball League Coming to Bicentennial Park This Summer

Get some friends together and form a 4v4 sand volleyball team for our Sunday-night league at Bicentennial Park. There’s nothing like the feel of sand between your toes during the summer. And the warm weather makes outdoor activities welcoming.

The Sunday league runs June 5-Aug. 21 for just $170 per team. Any gender combination is allowed to play. If you need a team, we’re also accepting individual registrations to form a house team. Visit LivoniaParks.org for details or to register.
