Hot Meal Services Returning May 9

Get ‘em while they’re hot! The Hot Meals and Meals-on-Wheels program returns Monday, May 9.

Hot meals will be served Mondays and Tuesdays at the Civic Park Senior Center, with a three-pack of frozen meals delivered Thursdays (starting May 12) to cover Wednesday-Friday meals each week. Reservations will be required in advance and the suggested donation will remain $3 for seniors ages 60 and older, and $6 for non-seniors ages 59 and younger.

An advance 24-hour reservation is required by signing up at LivoniaParks.org or calling (734) 466-2555 weekdays between 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit Livonia.gov/1880 via LivoniaParks.org for more information.

Take a Free Class on World Tai Chi Day This Saturday

Have you ever wanted to give Tai Chi a chance? Stop by the Kirksey Recreation Center East Lawn from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, to try out some free Tai Chi as part of a World Tai Chi Day celebration.

No pre-registration required for the free event, but classes are available at LivoniaParks.org.

Come check out our synchronized swim team 11 a.m. Sunday, May 1, as they show off what they've been working on this winter. Attendance to the Synchronized Swimming Spring Showcase is free and membership is not required. Just register at LivoniaParks.org or non-residents can pick up tickets in advance at The Rec.

Spring Session Starts May 2, Features Full Range of Tae Kwon Do

Spring classes are just around the corner, starting the week of May 2 at the Kirksey Recreation Center.

Fresh classes range from group fitness, to youth art classes and a variety of martial arts. Did you know we offered 18 different Tae Kwon Do classes spread over five days each week? From ages 2 through adults, there are a variety of options for all ages, for beginners and regulars. Check out the options here.
