There is plenty to see and do this Saturday, April 30, at Greenmead! If you enjoy shopping, stop by our popular Previously Enjoyed Jewelry Sale in the Alexander Blue House between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for great prices on gently used jewelry. Then, stop by Delia's Treasures in the Cranson-Hinbern House to shop antiques, vintage items, and more between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Please be prepared to pay with cash or check at both locations.
If you are feeling creative or looking for something new to do, register for our Kentucky Derby Fascinator Class in the Meeting House starting at 10:30 a.m. Materials are included for you to make your very own Kentucky Derby headband to wear next weekend for the race!
Finally, Something Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue will open to the public at 11 a.m. in the Simmons-Hill House. This exhibit features 29 wedding garments, vintage photos, invitations, and more. Mrs. Hill's wedding dress will also be on display for the first time during the exhibit. This 110-year-old gown was recently restored through a grant from Questers-Sauk Trail Chapter. Register in advance for a discount, or walk-in for $10 per person (cash only).
