With the weather warming up, a tee time at one of the local golf courses is a great way to spend part of your day with friends. Open daily April 1-Nov. 30, check out one of the following courses this summer:

Idyl Wyld Golf Course, 35786 Five Mile Road

Fox Creek Golf Course, 36000 Seven Mile Road
Whispering Willows Golf Course, 20500 Newburgh Road

Online tee times can be made up to seven days in advance throughout the season at GolfLivonia.com. Leagues, tournaments and lessons are also available for just about anyone ages 10 and older, too!

Create Your Own Masterpiece with the Joy of Painting the Bob Ross Way

If you're looking to add a canvas painting to your home, or as a gift, but you want a personalized touch, join us for the Joy of Painting the Bob Ross Way. You'll follow our instructor step by step to create your own beautiful landscape painting. Click here for a preview of the paintings or to register. Classes are coming up 6-9 p.m. Fridays, June 10 and July 8, as well as 9 a.m. to noon Sundays, June 26 and July 24.

Memorial Day Holiday Hours

The Kirksey Recreation Center will have holiday hours from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, May 30.

The Civic Park Senior Center and Greenmead Historical Park offices will both be closed May 30, but you can still visit the park areas at Greenmead.
