Youth Open Play is Back With Double the Dates for Fun With Little Ones

Have you heard? Our Youth Open Play time blocks are back AND expanded! Joining in with your child (ages 5 and younger) between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays or 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

Both free play gatherings will now take place in the Party Rooms with a variety of games and activities available to keep your young ones moving. It is free to attend for members or with a day pass, but a caregiver must remain present with the child for the duration of their attendance.

Fall Open House to Feature Trick-or-Treating Throughout The Rec

Stop by the Kirksey Recreation from noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, for a day of Halloween fun and learning about what The Rec has to offer during our Halloween Trick-or-Treating Open House. Do some trick or treating, Halloween crafts and activities, swimming, use the climbing wall, our FitHub, drop-in sports and more! Be sure to stop by our very wizardly walk-through experience.

Admission is FREE for Livonia residents and members (must show proof of residency), $3 per person for non-residents.

New Lifeguard Certification Courses Announced for October-January

Back in school and looking for a job? Newly retired, but still looking to earn more income, be part of a great team or meet new people? Come join our aquatics family as a lifeguard! We have a series of American Red Cross lifeguard certification courses coming up this fall and winter for anyone ages 15 and older. Each course is 3-4 days.

Fall II Registration Opens Oct. 3

Registration for Fall II classes opens Monday, Oct. 3, for Kirksey Recreation Center members. Check out the latest edition of our award-winning Connections magazine or browse hundreds of programs online to find a variety of cool new classes, long-time favorites and more for all ages!

Registration opens Oct. 4 for non-member Livonia residents and Oct. 6 for non-residents. The eight-week session begins the week of Oct. 24 and wraps up by Dec. 18. No classes Nov. 24-25.
