History Lecture Series - Dress Rehearsal for the Arsenal of Democracy, Michigan's Auto Industry in WWI
Stop by the Alexander Blue House 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, as we welcome Chris Causley, president of the Michigan Military Technical and Historical Society, for an in-depth look at Michigan’s automotive industry’s role in WWI. Focusing on the industry in southeast Michigan, and using primary source documents from government agencies and the automotive industry, an image of corporate America emerges where industry leaders
volunteer their expertise for little or no compensation, working with the government to build an arms industry in less than a years’ time. This free program is provided by the Livonia Historical Commission. No registration required.
