Membership Meeting and Speaker
Join the Historical Society 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, at the Alexander Blue House at Greenmead Historical Park for this month’s presentation, “Livonians in Wayne County’s Iron 24th,” by Alan Helmcamp. This is a free presentation followed by a brief Society business meeting.
Bentley High School Historical Marker Committee
In July 1945, Livonia Township voters approved a proposal to build their first high school. Opening in 1947, Bentley High School symbolized a spirit of unity in the community. Today, we work to continue to share the story of Livonia’s heritage with the next generation and visitors to our community by applying for a historical marker through the Michigan Historical Commission.
All interested community members are invited to participate on the application committee! For more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or join us at our next meeting 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Kirksey Recreation Center.
