North pole Workshop

Visit the Kirksey Recreation Center Workshop with your children on either Dec. 15 or Dec. 23 and have them create handmade gifts for friends and family! You can choose from several items or select up to ten crafts! Registration is $23 for residents and $30 for non-residents for each event.

Sunday, Dec. 15, children and parents can join us 1-3 p.m., and Monday, Dec. 23, children and parents can join us 3-5 p.m. A guardian must be present, but they do not need to buy a ticket.

Livonia Civic Chorus Presents 'Scenes of December'

Listen to choral artistry 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, from the Livonia Civic Chorus. This family-friendly music event will cost $15 for all tickets and will be hosted at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church. You can purchase tickets at the door or pre-order from the Livonia Civic Chorus website!

Santa's Workshop Calling

This magical and free event is 6-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 16-17! Santa and his elves will make special calls to children ages 2-10 in Livonia. Time allows for only a limited number of calls, so register early to reserve space for your children to experience Christmas magic free of charge! Pre-registration is required for this free event. This event sells out early!

New exterior wall for Livonia Senior Wellness Center is up

The exterior walls for the new Livonia Senior Wellness Center continue to rise along the east side of the Kirksey Recreation Center as the footings also take place for the new West Gym.

The Main Gyms will close in 2025 once the new West Gym is complete. The full project is expected to be completed in December 2025. You can visit LivoniaBuilt.org to see the specific timeline for each phase. For more details, check out our Frequently Asked Questions.
