L3 (Livonia's Little Learners) Camp

Come join us for fun and adventure this summer! Your little one will enjoy group activities that explore their imagination and challenge their physical energy. Kids will have a blast playing a variety of indoor and outdoor games, doing weekly themed crafts and projects, and having many more adventures. Camps run Monday-Thursday and there are still spots left for most weeks!

  • July 7-10 - Dinosaurs
  • July 14-17 - Deep Sea (waiting list)
  • July 21-24 - Outer Space
  • July 28-31 - Magic
  • Aug. 4-7 - Favorites

These classes run 1:30-3:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday at The Rec and are full of STEM-focused engagement for kids. Register your child online today!

S'mores and Stories: Jr. Beekeeping 101

Our popular summer series is back! Join us 7-8 p.m. Friday, July 11, around the campfire as we enjoy stories, crafts, games, and of course, s’mores! Advance registration is required for $5 per child resident and $6 per child non-resident.

This program is best for ages 5-12. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Register online today!

Fourth of July Holiday Hours

Independence Day is this week! The Kirksey Recreation Center will have limited hours of 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 4, while the Greenmead Historical Park office and Civic Park Senior Center will both be closed for the day. Be safe and have a fun Fourth of July!

City of Livonia offices, 16th District Court and the Livonia Public Library will also be closed on Friday, July 4.

There are no trash collection services on Independence Day. Trash will be delayed one day for the rest of the holiday week. Please be sure to put your trash out on the day after your regularly scheduled day.

Important updates regarding changes to the Kirksey Recreation Center schedules and amenities include:

The leisure pool at The Rec will be closed July 4 to mid-August for pool deck renovations and water slide maintenance. The splash pad at The Rec is currently closed as it is being rebuilt, and it will open mid-summer.
