Tour de Livonia

Join the Fourth-Annual Tour de Livonia on Sunday, Sept. 7, starting from Bicentennial Park!  

Choose between an 18-mile ride (ages 18+, 9 a.m. start) or a family-friendly 7-mile cruise (all ages, 9:30 a.m. start), both police-escorted for safety. Enjoy snacks, raffles, music, local vendors, and more! 

Proceeds support food pantries, cognitive support programs, and STEM education for kids — come ride for a cause and celebrate community!

New Date for Birds of Prey

There's a new date for our upcoming ornithological program for students!

Discover what makes hawks, eagles, falcons, and owls top predators in the Great Lakes region 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23! Participants 8-16 years old will use photos, videos, sound recordings, and taxidermy mounts to identify these birds and explore raptor traits and behaviors through guided, hands-on demonstrations. Advance registration is required for $10 per child Livonia resident and $12 per child non-resident.

Rec Center Readers Book Club: 'The Perfect Divorce' by Jeneva Rose

Join us 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, to discuss our monthly book! We'll be discussing "The Perfect Divorce" by Jeneva Rose. This book is available through the Livonia Public Library.

Sarah Morgan, once a high-powered attorney, has rebuilt her life as a nonprofit executive with her new husband, Bob, and their daughter. That is, until Bob shatters everything in one night. As she files for divorce, new DNA evidence reopens her executed ex-husband Adam’s murder case, thrusting Sarah back into a high-stakes legal maelstrom.
