  1. All Four One Toy Drive

    November 30, 2023 - December 22, 2023
    @
    Civic Park Senior Center

All Four One Holiday (AFO) Harvest Toy Drive gives pediatric patients a toy every time they’re admitted or come in for surgery. Charlotte Alex Director, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Corewell Health Foundation – Southeast Michigan (formerly Beaumont Health Foundation), says a toy “really impacts healing from the very beginning,” she said. “It offers reassurance, something familiar, and it immediately decreases the stress and fear in the patient’s room.” While medical outcomes rest in the hands of doctors, there’s a lot we can do to help our community’s smallest patients. Donating a new toy, for example, can help make a child’s hospital stay brighter and less frightening. That’s why AFO celebrates 21 years in participating in a toy drive for hospitals in the Southeastern Michigan pediatric unit. You can help sick children get better by dropping off new and unwrapped toys at Sun Valley Market, Livonia Senior Living, Fairlane Ford, Mayflower Lanes, and LaCasa Cigar and Wine Bar.
