  1. Wilson Barn Fall Fun

    Pumpkin Fest looks a bit different due to COVID-19 this year, but they are open every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Oct. 25. Shop their many vendors and be sure to partake in the cider (hot and cold) and donuts! Make sure you enter the “Count the Ghostly Jugs” contest. Count all the Ghostly Jugs and then find a Wilson Barn Board Member, (we have blue shirts or orange sweatshirts on) tell us how many there are on the grounds (we will change the number daily) and you win a prize!!

Music From the Heart

  1. Music From the Heart feat Devin Scillian & Arizona Son Band

    Join us on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 6-8 p.m. for a special fall edition of Music From the Heart! The Livonia Arts Commission is proud to present Devin Scillian & Arizona Son Band! Television viewers in Michigan and Ontario know him as their evening news anchor on WDIV-TV, NBC in Detroit. And music lovers know him as the winner of the prestigious Detroit Music Award for Best Country Performer. An accomplished musician and songwriter, Devin has released four albums of his original songs. *Music From the Heart has a new location this year!! All concerts will take place on the east side of the Jack E. Kirksey Recreation Center, 15100 Hubbard. Please plan on parking in the Five Mile lot. Alternate parking is available in Rec Center parking lot. Events are subject to change, cancellation and social distancing restrictions due to COVID-19. 1,000 people maximum.   1. Healthy Livonia Turkey Trot

    October 12, 2020, 1:00 p.m. - October 26, 2020, 1:00 p.m.

    The 2020 Healthy Livonia Turkey Trot will be a Virtual Turkey Trot. Complete your 3.2 mile walk or run on your own. Register before Monday, Oct. 26 and receive the official Turkey Trot T-Shirt for this year’s event. Register online or at the Parks and Recreation desk for $15. Participants that register after Oct. 26 will not receive a Turkey Trot T-Shirt. We will be collecting nonperishable food items for the Livonia Goodfellows between Nov. 1-30. Drop off your nonperishable food items at the Kirksey Recreation Center and help us help our neighbors in need!

  2. Fall Advanced Pickleball Tournament

    October 24, 2020, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. @ Bicentennial Park

    Come join the fun for an advanced Pickleball tournament on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Bicentennial Park! This is a non-sanctioned, self-officiated event. For all games, the first team to get 11 points wins. Each team is guaranteed five pool play games within their group of six teams. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoff bracket. Prizes awarded for the best team costumes! Registration runs until Oct. 9. The cost is $20 per team (only one person per team needs to register)

  3. Super Saturdays Youth Series

    Livonia Parks and Recreation is excited to announce the Super Saturday Youth Series! Every Saturday in the fall we will be hosting an outdoor day of fun at parks in Livonia for kids ages 5-8 and 9-12. Pre-registration is required for each day. Drop the kids off and we'll take care of the rest. Pizza will be provided. Activities include group games, sports, arts & crafts, nature walks and more! Please note that all activities are dependent on the weather and facility availability. All staff and participants are subject to temperature and symptom checks upon arrival to the site.   4. Drive-in Movie - Ghostbusters

    Join us at Ford Field in Livonia for a special Halloween themed movie - Ghostbusters! Pre-registration is required and only one registration per card is needed. There is a limit of 50 cars. Ghostbusters PG 1984 Comedy/Fantasy 1h 47m After the members of a team of scientists (Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray) lose their cushy positions at a university in New York City, they decide to become "ghostbusters" to wage a high-tech battle with the supernatural for money. They stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, a doorway that will release evil upon the city. The Ghostbusters must now save New York from complete destruction.
