Winter II Class Registration

Registration for Winter II classes is coming! . Members of The Rec can register for these classes Jan. 26, Livonia residents can register Jan. 27, and non-member non-residents can sign up Jan. 29. These courses are fantastic ways to learn new skills, keep fit through the season, or socialize!

You can't register yet, but you can explore many of the amazing classes we have in the Livonia Connections magazine.

T-Ball and Coach Pitch

T-Ball and Coach Pitch season is right around the corner! T-Ball plays on Monday and Wednesday nights, while Coach Pitch takes the field on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Practices begin May 4 and will be held twice a week until scrimmages start midway through the season, with the season ending July 1. Participants should bring active attire, a glove, and a batting helmet. A team hat and jersey are included with registration. Volunteer coaches are essential to making this program possible! Coaches receive all necessary equipment, a full registration refund for their participant, and four free day passes to the Kirksey Recreation Center. Livonia Historical Society Presents 'Picturing America'

The Livonia Historical Society welcomes art historian Wendy Evans for her program "Picturing America" 2-4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26. Memberships start at just $20, but all meetings are free and open to the public — bring a friend and enjoy an afternoon of history and hometown pride! There is no registration or RSVP necessary.

Wendy Evans was raised among the museums of London, England. She has advanced degrees from Oxford University in England and Wayne State University in Detroit.

Art in America tells a story. You can find its struggles, optimism, and pain in the artistic work over the centuries and decades. Wendy will guide guests across American art and how it reflects the nation's ideas and ideals.
