  2. Shakespeare in the Park Auditions

    Become part of a classic stage play, as our second-annual Shakespeare in the Park production brings "Henry V" to life at Stymelski Veterans Park this summer. Auditions to join the cast will take place 1-4 p.m. Saturdays-Sundays, March 25-26 and April 1-2, at the Kirksey Recreation Center. No registration required, just drop in prepared with a William Shakespeare monologue or sonnet to recite. Performance dates will be July 21-23 and 28-30. Presented by Livonia Parks and Recreation, Livonia Community Theatre and the Hardies Family Trust. Contact Megan at mduby@livonia.gov with any questions.

    Ages 10 and younger are welcome (with parent participation) to search for eggs from the Easter Bunny during their assigned time slots 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Rotary Park. Ages 1-4 at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. (The AM slot sold out by March 13.)   7. Dining With Yesterday: Voyage on the Titanic

During its maiden voyage to New York City from Southampton, England, this British luxury passenger liner sank April 14-15, 1912, one of modern history’s most tragic stories. Join us at the Alexander Blue House as we welcome Judith Coebly who will explore the history of this ill-fated voyage, focused on one particular passenger: the “unknown child. This program includes a Titanic inspired menu of fare. Advance registration required, $30/resident, $35/non-resident.
