Self-paced tours are from 1 - 4 p.m. Begin at Delia's Treasures Gift Shop (located by the stop sign) for your admission pass. Admission is by donation this year.   4. Guns N' Gowns: A Civil War Encampment Event

    Join the 17th Michigan Volunteer Regiment Company E for Guns n' Gowns on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free living history event will take place at Greenmead Historical Park, 20501 Newburgh. There will be demonstrations of military camp life, drills, musket firing, medical practices, surgery, civilian life, period fashions, phrenology, an amazing display of historical reproduction flags, and much, much more! Stop in the village buildings to see some great exhibits and take a tour as well. This event is a great opportunity for students of all ages to learn about life during the Civil War era.
